THANK YOU, YORK COUNTY!

We're delighted that the State of South Carolina has selected Carolinas HealthCare System to build and operate a new hospital in Fort Mill.

Over the past several months, thousands of York County residents have reached out to us and expressed their excitement over this new hospital. We heard them loud and clear, and we look forward to starting construction as quickly as possible on Carolinas Medical Center-Fort Mill.

Already, Carolinas Healthcare System hospitals serve 57 percent of northern York County's inpatient hospital needs, and our physicians serve more than 105,000 York County residents every year. Now, CMC-Fort Mill will mean hospital-based healthcare services will be more conveniently located for the residents of York County.

In addition to all who have expressed support for bringing our hospital to York County, we also want to thank our physicians, medical office staff and other healthcare professionals throughout York County for their long-standing support of this effort. They are the real reason so many patients trust Carolinas HealthCare System for all their healthcare needs.

We are honored to be chosen to build this hospital and humbled by the incredible support extended to Carolinas HealthCare throughout the York County community. As a not-for-profit healthcare provider, we pledge to continue our commitment to the York County community through the many programs we support.

Over the next several months we hope to begin the planning and design process to make CMC-Fort Mill a reality. We also intend to work closely with local and state officials to move the development process along as quickly as possible so CMC-Fort Mill can begin serving you and those you love with quality healhcare.
